My Krisper Beta

Know what to eat first, without typing in your groceries.

Forward your grocery order emails (or set it up once so they forward themselves). We read the produce, look up how long each item lasts from the Storage Guide, and show you what needs using first.

Most produce that ends up in the trash was fine when you bought it. It got buried in the drawer or forgotten. My Krisper keeps it in front of you.

My Krisper is in beta. It's free, some receipts won't read perfectly yet, and features may change. Your feedback shapes it: info@simplykrisp.com.

  • 1Sign up with just your email. No password.
  • 2Get a private forwarding address and add a one-time filter in Gmail, Outlook or iCloud.
  • 3Order like normal. Receipts from Instacart, Walmart, Kroger, Target, Costco, Amazon Fresh and most other big grocery stores and delivery apps show up here on their own.

Start your Krisper

Free while we test it. Takes about two minutes to set up.

We use this to remind you when it's time to swap. Leave blank if you're not sure.

We keep the produce names and dates from your receipts, never the email itself, prices or your address. Reminder emails come from SimplyKrisp; turn them off or delete everything in Settings at any time.

You already have a Krisper

We just emailed your private link. Open it on this device and you'll be back in.

Keep the produce you buy fresh long enough to eat it.

Produce usually gets tossed for three reasons: it spoils faster than expected, it gets buried in the fridge, or there’s more than you can use. Each SimplyKrisp tool handles one part of that.

Step 2 of 2

Connect your grocery emails

Set this up once. After that, any grocery receipt that lands in your inbox is copied here automatically.

Email forwarding isn't switched on for this test yet

You can still try everything: paste a receipt or add produce by hand from your Krisper.

Your private forwarding address

Only you have this address. Anything sent to it shows up in your Krisper.

Which stores do you order groceries from?

Tick every store that emails you order confirmations or receipts. Your forwarding setup below updates to match.

This also forwards each store's sale emails and non-food orders (like an Amazon book). That's fine: Krisper only adds produce from real orders, ignores everything else, and never saves the email itself. Some stores (often Costco, Publix, Aldi and Sprouts) deliver through Instacart, so those emails come from Instacart. Keep Instacart ticked if you use any of them.

Set up automatic forwarding

About 5 minutes, on a computer (the Gmail phone app can't set up forwarding). Keep this page open in one tab and Gmail in another. You'll come back here once for a code.

A
Add your Krisper address to Gmail
Gmail makes you confirm any address before it will forward to it.
  1. Copy your forwarding address from the box above.
  2. Open Gmail → Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP. (Or in Gmail: gear icon at top right → See all settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab. If you have more than one Gmail account, check you're in the right one, top right.)
  3. Click Add a forwarding address, paste your address, and click Next.
  4. A small window opens. Click Proceed, then OK. Gmail now emails a confirmation code to your Krisper address.
  5. Come back to this tab. The code appears here within a minute:
    Waiting for Gmail's confirmation code…
  6. Back in Gmail, on the same Forwarding page, paste the code into the confirmation code box and click Verify.
  7. Important: make sure Disable forwarding is still selected. That keeps the rest of your email private, and the filter in Part B forwards only grocery emails. If you changed anything, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
B
Forward only grocery emails
A filter sends new emails from your stores to Krisper automatically.
  1. Copy this search. It's built from the stores you ticked above:
  2. Go to your Gmail inbox, paste it into the search bar at the top, and press Enter. You should see your past grocery emails. That means the search works.
  3. At the right end of the search bar, click the sliders icon (Show search options). A box opens with the search already filled in.
  4. Click Create filter at the bottom right of that box.
  5. Tick Forward it to, pick your Krisper address from the dropdown, then click Create filter. If the dropdown says "choose an address", Part A isn't verified yet.
C
Test it now
Filters only work on new emails, so send one old receipt by hand.
  1. Open a recent grocery receipt or order email in Gmail and click Forward.
  2. Paste your Krisper address in the To line and click Send.
  3. Watch the box at the bottom of this page. It turns green when the receipt arrives, usually within a minute.
Something not working?
  • No code after 2 minutes: check you pasted the full Krisper address (it's long, so use the Copy button), then click Add a forwarding address again.
  • No "Forwarding" tab: work or school Gmail accounts sometimes turn forwarding off. Use "Forward by hand" or paste receipts instead.
  • Gmail shows a banner saying forwarding is on: that's normal for a week after you add a filter that forwards.
  • Want to stop: Gmail → Settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses → delete the Krisper filter.
  1. In Outlook on the web, open Settings → Mail → Rules → Add new rule.
  2. Name it "Krisper". Condition: From → add each of these (from the stores you ticked above):
  3. Action: Forward to → paste your Krisper address. Save.

Some work and school accounts block automatic forwarding. If nothing shows up within a day, use "Forward by hand" or paste a receipt.

  1. On a computer, open iCloud Mail, click the gear icon, then Rules → Add a rule.
  2. If a message is from instacart.com → Forward to your Krisper address. Repeat for each of these (from the stores you ticked above):

Forward any grocery order or receipt email to your Krisper address. Forwarding from your phone works too. We'll pick out the produce and ignore everything else.

Waiting for your first grocery email. Forward a recent receipt to test it now.
